Vodafone, Hutchison Whampoa in Advanced Talks for Joint Venture in Ireland - FT

Vodafone (VOD, VODPF, VOD.LN) and Hutchison Whampoa (HUWHY, 0013.HK) are in advanced talks to merge their network infrastructure in Ireland, The Financial Times reported Tuesday.
The companies plan to create a joint venture that would own the telecom equipment but would allow the two companies to maintain separate spectrum and run competing retail operations, the FT said.
