Vodafone: John Buchanan To Retire As Deputy Chairman July 24

Mobile giant Vodafone Group PLC (VOD) said Wednesday that Sir John Buchanan will retire as Deputy Chairman, as well as Senior Independent Director and a member of the Audit Committee, at the end of the annual general meeting on July 24.
MAIN FACTS:
-Following this change, Luc Vandevelde will become Senior Independent Director.
-Also on July 24 Anthony Watson will step down from the Remuneration Committee and will join the Audit Committee, and Renee James will join the Remuneration Committee.
-Shares at 0845 GMT down 2 pence, or 1.38%, at 168.1 pence valuing the company at GBP84.26 billion.
