Inauguration of the first windfarm in Areia Branca in Brazil
Voltalia announced on Friday, November 21, the inauguration of Carcara 2, its first windfarm in Areia Branca in Brazil. Carcara 2 comprises 10 wind turbines of 3MW each which are now in production, although still in run tests.
The company's CEO, Sébastien Clerc, also announced Voltalia's new partnership with WWF France during the inauguration ceremony (see specific press release dated November 21).
Voltalia's overall Areia Branca project, with a total capacity of 90MW, also includes Terral (30MW) and Carcara 1 (30MW) windfarms. Production will progressively start in those two additional farms.
