HAUPPAUGE, NY - JULY 15, 2014 -- VOXX Electronics Corp (VEC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of VOXX International Corp.(NASDAQ: VOXX), announced today the introduction of its line of overhead and headrest systems with HDMI/MHL connectivity that allows consumers a direct connection to any HDMI/MHL enabled device such as smartphones, tablets and even Smart TV devices.

inputs users can connect their mobile devices (Smartphones/Tablets) to playback on their rear seat monitor screens creating the best in rear seat entertainment without losing the use of the DVD that is still a major content source."
The ability to connect a mobile device directly and conveniently to the HDMI/MHL inputs on select Advent, Audiovox and Movies2Go overhead and headrests monitors make the entertainment possibilities literally endless. Content that is stored or being streamed LIVE to the mobile device can be played back on the in-vehicle screens. Consumers can also access games and apps including social media apps such as YouTube. In some cases the mobile device can act as a remote control for the overhead or headrest system to play games.
The first two systems available will be overheads and consumers have the flexibility to connect a mobile device via two HDMI/MHL inputs; one on the side of the overhead and one hidden connection to keep the wiring discreet. Both options
require a Digital A/V Adapter (sold separately), specific to the make/model of the users mobile device.
