SHANGHAI, China, May 24, 2018 - WABCO Holdings Inc. (NYSE: WBC), a leading global supplier of technologies and services that improve the safety, efficiency and connectivity of commercial vehicles, today announced that it will launch a new digital 'Smart Cloud Service' platform to further enhance its support for aftermarket customers in China.

Using leading artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the Smart Cloud Service uniquely connects commercial vehicle drivers, fleets, distributors, workshops and original equipment suppliers with WABCO's extensive service network. With a clear focus on further improving service efficiency and customer satisfaction, the digital platform can provide immediate support via a telephone hotline, mobile / PC instant messaging service and WABCO's WeChat account.

As well as keeping customers fully updated with posts on the progress of their requests, the platform offers a range of additional functions. These range from self-service requests and reservations through to maps to the nearest service stations and training course information. All functions are available simply by clicking the menu on the WeChat account, which already has a base of 6,500 followers. The platform is also enhanced with an automated 'chatbot' AI response service capable of providing customers with 24/7 support.
