The move sees the company further expand its direct sales network in Europe.

Wacker Neuson is expanding its own sales network in Central Europe through the creation of a direct sales channel in Slovakia. Complementing its local presence, Wacker Neuson serves its international customers through an extensive sales and service network throughout Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, the Netherlands and - most recently - also Slovakia.

Subject to a number of conditions and approval requirements, successful conclusion of the transaction will mean that Wacker Neuson will have its own sales affiliate in Slovakia. Wacker Neuson expects the deal to be completed before the end of 2017. Both companies have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The KLC dealership has been distributing products and services from the Wacker Neuson and Kramer brands since 2005. Once acquired, KLC will be integrated into the Wacker Neuson direct sales structure. The two existing locations in Bratislava and Lucenec will be turned into Wacker Neuson sales and service stations, which will also continue to offer Kramer products. These locations will offer the entire Wacker Neuson portfolio from concrete compaction equipment, rammers, vibratory plates and rollers for soil compaction through breakers, cutters, lighting equipment, generators and pumps to compact excavators and dumpers. They will also offer Kramer all-wheel steered wheel loaders, tele wheel loaders and telehandlers.

'We want to grow further in Europe and believe the Slovakian market offers great potential for us, fueled especially by major national and European infrastructure projects and future traction from the residential construction sector,' explains Alexander Greschner, CSO of the Wacker Neuson Group. 'This is why we have decided to further expand our direct sales structure. Customers in Slovakia will have even easier access to our company's broad portfolio of services, which will add considerable value especially to international customers who operate in Slovakia and other countries.' The new Wacker Neuson sales affiliate in Slovakia will be headed by Premysl Bartos, who is also Managing Director of Wacker Neuson in the Czech Republic. The previous Managing Director of KLC, Peter Paška, will stay on as Head of Sales at the new Wacker Neuson affiliate. He and his team will continue to maintain and develop key customer relationships.

'The integration of KLC will benefit our customers first and foremost,' explains Managing Director Premysl Bartos. 'In future, we will be able to offer them additional services supporting Wacker Neuson and Kramer products, so customers in Slovakia can look forward to a one-stop service spanning advice on new and used machines, financing solutions, maintenance and repair work, rental of the own product portfolio, a huge range of attachments and rapid availability of spare parts. We can offer real added value to our customers, for example, through mobile service technicians who can visit customer construction sites on demand or through dedicated support from Wacker Neuson concrete specialists.'

'We have decades of market experience and have always had a very close, trusted relationship with Wacker Neuson,' reports Peter Paška, Head of Sales. 'Wacker Neuson is already a strong brand and this step will raise its profile even more in the Slovakian market. Customers in Slovakia will now have access to an even broader portfolio of products and services, while continuing to enjoy the same personal relationships with familiar, trusted contact partners.'
