Wal-Mart de México, S.A.B. de C.V. (WALMEX) announces
to its shareholders as well as to the public in general that
during the month of January 2012, sales amounted to
$34,802 million pesos. This figure represents a
13.1% increase over sales reported the same month last
year.

Mexico Sales
Total sales for Mexico increased 12.4% over sales reported
for the same month last year. Comp store sales during the
month, meaning all those units in operation for over a year,
posted a 4.7% increase compared to the same month of 2011.
Considering the four-week period
from December 31st, 2011 to January
27th, 2012, as compared to the four-week
period ending January 28th, 2011,
total sales increased 16.3% and comp store sales
increased
8.3%.

Average ticket at our stores had a 3.5% increase in comp
units in January and transactions had a 1.2%
increase as compared to the same month of 2011.
Central America Sales
Total sales for Central America, on a constant currency
basis, increased 6.6%, and comp store sales recorded an
increase of 0.1%.

Openings
During the month of January, we opened 11 units in Mexico:
Four Mi Bodegas Aurrerá, one in Ciudad Armería, Colima;
one in Córdoba, Veracruz; one in
Pijijiapan, Chiapas; and one in Tangancicuaro, Michoacán.
Four Bodegas Aurrerá Express, one in Aguascalientes,
Aguascalientes; one in Cuernavaca, Morelos; one in León,
Guanajuato; and one in Querétaro, Querétaro.
Two Sam´s Club, one in Hidalgo del Parral, Chihuahua;
and one in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas.
One Vips, in Guadalajara, Jalisco.
Additionally, during February, we have opened 2 units in
Mexico:
Two Bodegas Aurrerá Express, one in Quéretaro,
Querétaro; and one in San Luis Potosí, San Luis
Potosí.
Repurchase of Shares
From January 1st to January 31st
2012, we have invested $82 million pesos in the repurchase of
2,167,000 Company shares.
Corporate Social Responsibility
As a result of the "Nutre y Abriga una Esperanza" (Nurture
and Shelter a Hope) campaign, in January Walmart de México
Foundation (WMF) and Suburbia delivered 84, 691 winter
clothing pieces, donated by customers and associates to
marginalized communities in Mexico, as well as 84.6 tons of
seeds to support nutrition in those places.
Along with Prichos and Televisión Azteca, Walmart de México
Foundation (WMF) participated in the
"Juguetón 2012" (2012 Toy Drive). Customers and Associates
donated 116, 698 toys, thus benefiting 29,
174 Mexican children.
Walmart de Mexico Foundation (WMF), Bodega Aurrera, Mi Bodega
Aurrera, Sam´s Club and Walmart set up 27 collection centers
in Chihuahua state for staple food, personal hygiene items
and cleaning products to combat the food crisis in Sierra
Tarahumara.
Starting this month, Guatemala will support the education
program called "¿Basura?...La decisión está en tus manos"
(Garbage? ...the decision is in your hands), which will be
implemented in the United Nations National Park. It aims to
promote a more eco-friendly waste disposal and management,
through interactive activities. This will benefit over 65,
000 people visiting the park.
