There is nothing more fascinating than to watch a building literally being built right in front of your eyes. Like playing with Meccano and Lego sets, but life-sized. This was a sort of childhood dream for Robrecht. The responsibility for a building site entails everything that a structural engineer could ever dream of.

There are studies, teamwork, vision, and consultation, plus major responsibility. In addition to this, there is also a sense of freedom and the true management responsibility for the site.

It all sounds overwhelming, but is actually really enjoyable. Everybody works together, everybody talks to each other, and good progress is made. Many hands make light work, but two (or many) heads are better than one. There is always communication and cooperation, like a well-oiled machine.
He watches with boyish amusement while he chats with a supervisor as he hands him a hard hat. Obviously, he was born with an eye for detail.
