We probably don't think about it too often, but WDP's job isn't done once the buildings have been constructed and rented out. Once the client is settled into the building, the next aspect comes to the fore. How do we ensure that these companies avoid any issues? That the maintenance always goes as planned. That problems are dealt with and disruptions corrected. It all seems so obvious, but everything is not always as it seems.

Willy De Pauw is one such facility manager. A Belgian in the Netherlands, who enjoys working among the Dutch. It's always the same story in the WDP context. Directness and openness are appreciated.
But this facility manager does a lot more than just implement the management project. The friendly landlord, the single point of contact, as well as the one who keeps their finger on the pulse. Does the space still meet all the lessee's needs? Is an expansion required? Can we provide any other solutions? At the same time, we always keep an eye on the future. How do we keep the property in the best shape after this client leaves? How do we most efficiently prepare the changes for the future?
It's a fun, varied, and challenging job. Not in the least because you must be present without being visible. He's fairly modest in his own description. 'I've done my job well when the clients can't see me around, but they do know that they can always count on me.'
