Mr. Vesa Riihimäki (51), M.Sc. (Eng.), has been appointed Managing Director of Wärtsilä Finland Oy effective 1 February 2018. Riihimäki joined Wärtsilä in 1992 and has during the years held a number of leading positions in the company.

Riihimäki will also continue in his role as Vice President, Wärtsilä Quality and Services QEHS, responsible for the quality of Wärtsilä's products, solutions and processes globally. He is based in Vaasa, Finland.

Riihimäki succeeds Mr. Stefan Damlin, who will as of the same date assume the global position of Director, Project Management, Marine Power Solutions, and be based in Vaasa, Finland.
