Webster Bank Customer Surprised With Gift That Matters Most - Family Time More Surprise and Delight Opportunities to Come

WATERBURY, Conn., March 2, 2015 - Starting today, Webster Bank is taking its brand promise of Living Up To You to a whole new level. If someone shares what matters most to them, they are eligible for prizes, including a $100 VISA gift card (four given out each week for six weeks) or a prize valued at $400 (one per week for six weeks).
This exciting opportunity comes on the heels of surprising and delighting the Phillips family of Wethersfield, Conn. Mark Phillips told Webster Bankers that what matters most to him is making up for lost time with his family now that he's out of the military. So imagine this Coast Guard Veteran's surprise when he walked into the Webster banking center at 1039 Silas Deane Highway, thinking he was getting a special thank you for his service, when the bigger thank you was - a special weekend family camping trip to the Cape for his family, including all of their outdoor needs.
On January 29, Webster Bankers decorated the banking center to look like an outdoor camping scene - complete with pine trees, s'mores, tent, fishing gear and even a bear. When Tara Gregson, senior vice president, Affinity Marketing announced the surprise, the Phillips family's expression said it all (see photo below and attached).
