Webster Bank Names SVP of Infrastructure Technology
WATERBURY, Conn., August 10, 2015 - Webster Bank announced today that Michael Szekeres joined the company as senior vice president, director of infrastructure technology. Reporting to Colin Eccles, executive vice president, Chief Information Officer, Szekeres is responsible for all elements of infrastructure across the bank, and shared infrastructure with HSA Bank.
Szekeres brings 22 years of network and technology infrastructure experience to Webster. Previously, he worked for De Lage Landen, a Philadelphia financial leasing company, where he was director of infrastructure strategy and development. He has also held leadership positions in several other companies, including Sunoco.
Once he's settled in Connecticut, Szekeres looks forward to living the Webster Way by living up to the communities he serves. He plans to volunteer with organizations that help provide young children with the essential items they need to thrive at home and in school. A graduate of Penn State University, Szekeres is based in New Britain.
