Webster Bank Promotes Two to SVP WATERBURY, Conn., May 14, 2015 - Webster Bank announced today that two members of the Chief

Financial Officer's (CFO) Group have been promoted to senior vice president.
Lynn Ryan, senior vice president, assistant controller, CFO Group - Ryan joined Webster in 2007 in accounting policy and research. She then moved to manage the external reporting process, where she gained knowledge and experience in the issues surrounding a growing number of impaired and restructured loans. In
2010, she transitioned to the newly created operational accounting group, where she was instrumental in
developing a thorough understanding of Webster's commercial and consumer lending areas. Ryan was promoted to assistant controller in 2013, assuming responsibility for internal and regulatory reporting, in addition to her loan accounting duties.
A resident of West Hartford, Conn., Ryan is a Certified Public Accountant with a bachelor's degree from Babson College. Living up to the communities she serves, Ryan is the treasurer for Holy Land - Waterbury, USA, Inc., chair of the finance committee for the Church of St. Brigid, and a Junior Achievement volunteer.
Fred Smith, senior vice president, assistant controller, CFO Group - Smith joined Webster in 2005 as financial reporting manager. Over the years, he has managed the internal closing and reporting process, fixed assets, accounts payable, regulatory reporting, and external reporting. Most recently, he played a major role in Webster's SEC filings. Smith was promoted to assistant controller in 2013 and assumed responsibility for external reporting.
A resident of Prospect, Conn., Smith is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor's degree from
