Webster Banker Named Woman of FIRE

HARTFORD/WATERBURY, Conn., September 2, 2015- Webster Bankannounced the Robin Gallagher, senior vice president, commercial real estate, was named a 2015 Woman of FIRE- finance, insurance, and real estate. She formally received the award at a recent reception at The Hartford Club. This annual award is presented by The Commercial Record.

Gallagher, a resident of Bedford, New York and based in Stamford, Conn., joined Webster in 2005. Through her work at Webster, the Victory Gardens Veterans Housing Development in Newington, Conn., and other affordable housing projects, was financed. Today, 74 Veterans and their families are no longer homeless or at risk of being homeless. This has a deep, personal meaning for Gallagher whose son is an active duty service member in the U.S. Navy. Even Gallagher's volunteer work has to do with housing. She serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Board of the Housing Development Fund, Inc., in Stamford, Connecticut and New York. She participates in The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship in Westchester and is a member of the Real Estate Finance Association.
