Webster Bank's UConn Championship Trophy Tour Winds Down This Week
WATERBURY, Conn., August 13, 2014 - Webster Bank, the Official Bank of UConn Athletics and the University of Connecticut Alumni Association, will showcase the university's dual national basketball championship trophies from the 2013-2014 season one more time. Fans are invited to the Reidville Drive banking center in Waterbury, Conn., on Thursday, August 14 from Noon to 2 p.m. to take pictures with the esteemed awards won by the men's and women's basketball teams.
The first 100 people at the site will receive a commemorative championship car magnet. All UConn fans are invited to meet Jonathan, the mascot, and learn about ways Webster Bank can help them display their Husky Pride.
The trophies have already been on display and trending on social media after stops in Stamford, Bloomfield, Torrington, and Bristol.
