Webster Names Jonathan Roberts Executive Vice President Consumer Deposit Products and Retail Network Management

WATERBURY, Conn., Sept. 14, 2017 - Webster Bank is pleased to announce that Jonathan Roberts has joined the company's Community Banking team as executive vice president for consumer deposits and retail network management.

Roberts, who has 23 years of experience in retail banking sales, service and operations, joins Webster from First Bank in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was executive vice president of retail and business banking, guiding and modernizing a banking center network of 129 locations while concurrently growing their business banking portfolio.

In his current position, he will be responsible for profitably growing Webster's consumer deposits business and managing our Banking Centers and Customer Care Center.

"With his extensive experience and a strong background in retail banking, Jonathan brings a demonstrated level of knowledge and leadership to effectively navigate changing customer expectations and help us usher in the next generation of the Webster customer experience efficiently and effectively," said Nitin Mhatre, executive vice president, Community Banking.

Roberts earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati. He is a graduate of the Stonier School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania, and is currently completing the general management program at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
