Weis Markets received final Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) approval earlier this week to open a beer café in its Montoursville store located at 801 Loyalsock Avenue. Associates began stocking shelves and coolers after receiving the approval and the café is now open for business.
The 30-seat beer café will sell beer for both on premise consumption and take-out. It offers more than 750 varieties, including an extensive collection of local craft beers, including beers brewed by Riepstine's in Williamsport, Rusty Rail Brewing Company in Mifflinburg and Old Forge Brewing Company in Danville.
The café is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to midnight and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
This is the third Weis Markets beer café to open in Lycoming County. The first location opened last fall on Lycoming Creek Road in Williamsport and the second café opened at the Muncy location in February. The company currently operates beer cafés in 42 of its Pennsylvania stores.
