(NYSE: WCG), announced today that it has promoted Marla Purvis to chief operating officer (COO). Purvis previously served as market vice president. She reports to Gregg MacDonald, senior vice president, division president, WellCare.
In her new role, Purvis provides leadership and oversight to WellCare of Georgia's quality improvement, network management, provider operations, encounters and behavioral health operations.
Purvis has dedicated more than 12 years of her career to WellCare. She has been a market director managing operations for over 100,000 Medicaid and Medicare members in southern and eastern Georgia. Most recently, Purvis lead Georgia's network management, market operations, Medicaid marketing, case management, quality improvement and behavioral health operations.
