CHICAGO - Wells Fargo Securities, the investment banking and capital markets business of Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC), announced today that Rick FlorJancic has joined as managing director and head of Midwest Investment Banking, which encompasses coverage for 10 states and 20 Wholesale Banking offices across the Midwest region. Based in Chicago, he will cultivate deep, local client relationships and manage key partnerships in several areas of the bank - including Middle Market Banking, Corporate Banking Group, Wealth & Investment Management and Capital Finance - to drive strong connections to best serve Wells Fargo's Midwest clients.

'With nearly 20 years of investment banking experience, a track record of performance and proven leadership, Rick joins a successful Midwest investment banking platform that is now ready to move toward the next stage of its growth and development,' said Kristin Lesher, co-head of Wells Fargo Securities' Investment Banking Coverage. 'I am pleased to have him lead this critical growth mandate for one of our fastest-growing regions alongside a highly skilled and well-recognized team of banking professionals. Rick brings a powerful combination of deep and local relationships, global banking experience and Midwestern roots that will bolster our regional investment banking coverage as well as Wells Fargo's Wholesale Banking franchise in the Midwest.'

FlorJancic joins Wells Fargo from J.P. Morgan Securities, where he was a managing director and most recently led regional investment banking coverage of the Midwest. Prior to that, he held a variety of investment banking roles, both domestically and in Europe, for J.P. Morgan and its predecessors, including more than 15 years in the investment banking coverage and mergers & acquisitions groups. FlorJancic has extensive experience advising senior management teams, boards of directors and private owners across a number of industry sectors including consumer, diversified industrial, healthcare, real estate, retail and technology. During his investment banking career, he has executed more than 100 transactions across a broad spectrum of products including sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions, corporate defense, initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, leveraged buyouts and public and private debt financings in both the high-yield and investment-grade markets.

FlorJancic holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Rob Biodrowski, a senior director in Midwest Regional Investment Banking, and the Chicago-based investment banking team will continue in their current roles and report to FlorJancic. Together, the team will continue to expand the investment banking franchise in the region, leveraging relationships across the bank in order to originate and execute capital markets and M&A transactions.

The Regional Investment Banking team of Wells Fargo Securities is strategically aligned across the bank's footprint across the U.S., serving middle market companies and financial sponsors with local and regional investment banking expertise and support.
