Jérôme Michiels to become CFO of Wendel on October 1, 2015

After 26 years at Wendel, Jean-Michel Ropert, Group Vice-President for Finance, will step down from his functions for personal reasons, effective October 1, 2015. He will, however, continue to play a significant role at Wendel as a consultant to the Executive Board and will continue to serve as a Board member of several of the Group's companies, including Bureau Veritas. On October 1, 2015, Jerôme Michiels, Managing Director within the investment team, will take over the responsibility of Wendel's Finance department. As CFO, he will join Wendel's Management Committee and will continue to serve on the Investment Committee, where he will retain his right to vote. He will be supported in his new role by Benoit Drillaud, Deputy CFO, and Olivier Allot, Director of Financial Communication.
Jerôme Michiels joined Wendel at the end of 2006 as Investment Director and was promoted to Director in January 2010. He was appointed Managing Director in January 2012 and subsequently joined the Investment Committee, taking on the role of Secretary of that Committee. As a member of the investment team, he has focused in particular on Legrand (until 2012), Saint-Gobain and Parcours. He has also managed large-scale market transactions, such as the sale of Wendel's shares in Legrand, Saint-Gobain and Bureau Veritas. Before joining Wendel, he was an associate at the investment fund BC Partners from
2002 to 2006. Prior to that, he worked as a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group from 1999 to 2002, carrying out strategy assignments in Europe, particularly in the fields of distribution, transportation, telecommunications and financial services. He is a graduate of HEC.
