Wendel promotes three members of its investment team to Managing Director

Wendel today announced that three Senior Directors in Wendel's investment and development team - Stéphanie Besnier, Stéphane Heuzé and Félicie Thion de la Chaume - have each been promoted to Managing Director.

Stéphanie Besnier, who joined Wendel's investment team in 2007 as an Associate, has been promoted to Managing Director. In the last few years, Stéphanie has been actively involved in Wendel's investments in Deutsch, IHS and Constantia Flexibles. She has also been a member of the Board of Bureau Veritas since 2016.

Stéphanie, who is based in Paris, began her career at the French Ministry of Finance in 2003, working at the Treasury Department's international unit before serving at Agence des participations de l'État, the agency that manages the government's equity holdings, with responsibility for maritime and rail transport companies.

She is a graduate of École Polytechnique and an engineering graduate of the Corps des Ponts et Chaussées. She holds a master's degree (DEA) from the Paris School of Economics and a Corporate Director certificate from Institut Français des Administrateurs (IFA).

Stéphane Heuzé, who joined Wendel in 2014 as an Investment Director, has been promoted to

Managing Director. Based in Casablanca, he has been actively involved in Wendel's investments in Tsebo and PlaYce in Africa, as well as in the Constantia Flexibles transaction. Stéphane is a member of the Boards of IHS, Tsebo and PlaYce.

Stéphane began his career at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Paris, before serving at Goldman Sachs (PIA) in London for two years, working within the team responsible for managing equity, mezzanine and secondary debt funds. In 2009, he returned to BCG to help develop its presence in Africa and assisted in opening its Casablanca office.

He graduated from École des Mines de Paris and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Félicie Thion de la Chaume, who joined Wendel in 2007 as an Associate in the Paris investment team, has been promoted to Managing Director. Based in London since 2016, Félicie relocated to the United Kingdom to help open Wendel's London office and focus on investment origination in Europe. Since joining Wendel, Félicie has taken part in the development of Stahl and in many transactions, including the sale of Deutsch and the investment in Saham Group. She is a member of the Board of Stahl.

Félicie began her career at Goldman Sachs in the firm's French M&A team from 2003 to 2006.

She is a graduate of ESCP Europe.
