Production
Overburden removal was 16.5 per cent higher than the previous quarter.
Coal production for the quarter was 3,131,000 tonnes (comprising 2,309,000 tonnes of metallurgical coal and 822,000 tonnes of steaming coal), 4.4 per cent higher than the previous quarter. Metallurgical coal production was 6.1 per cent higher than the previous quarter mainly due to higher yielding coal types being processed. Steaming coal production was in line with the previous quarter.
For the 12 months to 30 June 2015, metallurgical coal production increased by 2.9 per cent to 9,066,000 tonnes and steaming coal production decreased by 8.9 per cent to 3,187,000 tonnes.
There was no significant development activity during the quarter.
Exploration
There was no significant exploration activity during the quarter.

Production
Wesfarmers' share of coal production for the quarter was 710,000 tonnes, 24.1 per cent below the previous quarter due to operations moving into a less productive section of the mining sequence and adverse weather impacts. For the 12 months to 30 June 2015, Wesfarmers' share of coal production decreased by
4.3 per cent to 3,304,000 tonnes.
There was no significant development activity during the quarter.
