ProductionOverburden removal for the quarter ended 30 September 2015 was 13.5 per cent lower than the previous quarter.
Coal production for the quarter was 3,310,000 tonnes (comprising 2,369,000 tonnes of metallurgical coal and 941,000 tonnes of steaming coal), 5.7 per cent higher than the previous quarter. Metallurgical coal production was 2.6 per cent higher than the previous quarter and steaming coal production was
14.5 per cent higher than the previous quarter.
For the 12 months to 30 September 2015, metallurgical coal production increased by 0.5 per cent to 9,145,000 tonnes and steaming coal production decreased by 6.4 per cent to 3,286,000 tonnes.
There was no significant development activity during the quarter.
During the quarter there were 86 exploration boreholes drilled on ML80110 (Curragh North) totalling 9,760 metres of drilling. The drilling program was comprised entirely of open holes to provide structural reference.

ProductionWesfarmers' share of coal production for the quarter was 814,000 tonnes, 14.6 per cent above the previous quarter due to operating in a more productive section of the mining sequence. For the 12 months to
30 September 2015, Wesfarmers' share of coal production decreased by 3.3 per cent to 3,285,000 tonnes.
There was no significant development activity during the quarter.
