WEST AFRICAN RESOURCES REPAYS US$5 MILLION LOAN FACILITYWest African Resources (ASX, TSXV: WAF) is pleased to announce it has repaid the US$5m loan facility to the Metals & Energy Capital Division of Macquarie Bank Limited (Macquarie) ahead of its maturity date on 30 September 2016.
The repayment was made following the completion of the A$21 million capital raising announced on 10 August 2016.
The company's cash balance is currently A$23 million.
The US$5 million facility, which the company entered into in December 2014, provided funding to complete the Feasibility Study for the Mankarga 5 Heap Leach Gold Project in Burkina Faso.
