Westpac today announced its Business Bank has defended its leading position as Best Business Bank in Australia for the third consecutive year at the prestigious Australian Business Banking Awards 2017.

The division, led by Chief Executive David Lindberg, was also named Best Cash Management Bank and Best Equipment Finance and Leasing Bank - positions Westpac has held since 2014 and 2015 respectively.

Alastair Welsh, General Manager Commercial Banking accepted the awards on behalf of Westpac, and said they reflect the collective motivation and dedication of thousands of quality bankers, specialists, service and support employees across Australia.

'We're constantly investing in, and developing our people, products and services to reduce our customer's pain points and make their businesses stronger through a high-quality and consistent service.'

'Over 200 years, we've acquired an exceptionally deep understanding of the needs of a range of businesses - from sole traders all the way to large privately owned enterprises - and I believe this is what fundamentally sets us apart from the strong competition in our sector,' Mr Welsh said.
