WH SMITH PLC CONCLUDES TENDER FOR STATUTORY AUDIT

4 July 2014

WH Smith PLC ("WH Smith") today announces the conclusion of the formal tender process for its statutory audit contract. Following completion of the audit of the accounts for the year ending 31 August 2014, PricewaterhouseCoopers will be appointed as WH Smith's statutory auditor, subject to approval by shareholders at the AGM on 21 January 2015.

Suzanne Baxter, Chairman of the WH Smith Audit Committee, said:
