14 July, 2016, Hong Kong ―― The Wharf (Holdings) Limited (stock code: 4) announces that its flagship project Chengdu International Finance Square ("Chengdu IFS") has been honoured the Grand Award in the Building Outside Hong Kong (Non-residential) category of the Quality Building Award 2016, in recognition of its sophisticated design and construction.

Opened in 2014, Chengdu IFS is the first of the five IFS projects developed by Wharf Group. Located in the heart of the central business district, Chengdu IFS is renowned for its 'City within a City' mixed-use design which has set a striking benchmark for mixed-use developments in the Western China Region. Incorporating premium office space, Niccolo Hotel and luxury residential properties that sit above its flagship eight-level retail podium, the development not only showcases world-class architectural design but also has raised the bar for commercial properties and set a role model amid the rapid internationalization of Chengdu.

Quality Building Award 2016 is jointly organised by nine professional organisations in Hong Kong. Launched in 2002, this biennial award selects a Grand Award winner and Merit(s) for each of the six award categories, aiming at recognising quality buildings and outstanding teamwork as well as promoting a collective commitment by the building industry to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and competitiveness.

Chengdu IFS has won more than 50 international and local awards since its launch. It includes the latest honour "2016 VIVA Best-of-the-Best Design and Development Award" presented by International Council of Shopping Center ("ICSC"), representing China's first-ever commercial property project winning this top title globally.
