Diamond Drilling Update - Aucu Gold Deposit

Highlights:
  • First drill hole of the 2016 program completed to a depth of 150 metres

  • Three mineralised zones with substantial sulphides identified

White Cliff Minerals Limited ("White Cliff" or the "Company") is pleased to report that the first diamond drill hole of its 2016 drill program (EGZ16-002) has been completed. The 150 metre deep hole encountered three mineralised zones at depths consistent with the high grade zones encountered in the adjacent drill hole (UGZ15-32a) drilled in 2015.

The first mineralised zone (62-66 metres depth) consists of 4 metres of quartz veining containing up to 20% sulphides within sheared sandstones on a contact with diorite. The diorite also contains up to 5% pyrite.

The second mineralised zone (116-121 metres depth) consists of 5 metres of silicified sandstone with dispersed quartz veining and 5% sulphides including a 1 metre interval (118-119m) with 30% sulphides.

The third mineralised zone (122-124.5 metres depth) consists 2.5 metres of altered diorite with up to 30% sulphides.

The core will be cut and sampled on site and delivered to the laboratory later this week. Assay results are expected to be available in approximately 4 weeks.

Drilling of the second 200 metre hole has commenced (EGZ16-003), targeting the same mineralised zones 50 metres below the mineralisation encountered in EGZ16-002 and 100 metres below the 2015 drill intersections of 3 metres at

As previously reported (ASX releases 24 Mar 15 and 02 Apr 15), the Company announced a maiden inferred resource for the Aucu gold deposit above a cut-off grade of 1 g/t gold of 1.15 Million tonnes grading 4.2 g/t gold for 156,000 ounces1 of contained gold.

In 2015, drilling identified exceptional gold mineralisation2 to the east of the UGZ over a strike length of at least 500 metres (ASX releases 11 Nov 15, 1 Dec 15 and 7 Dec 15). Results included:

    • 8 metres at 55.2 g/t gold from 66 metres including 1 metre at 89.9 g/t gold

    • 4 metres at 59.9 g/t gold from 66 metres including 1 metre at 189 g/t gold

    • 2 metres at 43.5 g/t gold from 86 metres

    • 1 metre at 103.4 g/t gold from 74 metres

    • 3 metres at 41.4 g/t gold including 1 metre at 71 g/t gold

    • 4 metres at 23.8 g/t gold from 85 metres

    • 2 metres at 22 g/t gold from 102 metres

    • 1 metre at 58 g/t gold

The average grade of the gold intersections across the Upper Gold Zone - East is 45 g/t gold from several lodes. In addition:

    • Mineralisation outcrops at surface

    • Mineralisation remains open in both directions and at depth

    • Overall metallurgical recovery of all mineralised zones is 99%

    • Gravity recoverable gold averages 88.6% (gold that reports to the gravity concentrate)
