Vienna, September 30, 2015 - Wienerberger AG today released its 2014 sustainability report, which also underscores its commitment to sustainability through the waiver of a printed document. As a pioneer in the branch and in Austria, Wienerberger has decided in favor of publication on a microsite and as an interactive PDF. The report provides interested stakeholders with the latest sustainability indicators and explains the progress in accordance with the GRI G4-Core standards. Additionally it includes the UN Global Compact Communication on Progress 2014 and highlights last year's developments within Wienerberger's sustainability management. The existing sustainability program of the group was replaced by the Wienerberger Sustainability Roadmap 2020, a 5-year action plan. This was based on a materiality analysis carried out from autumn 2014 to spring 2015. It analyzed potential environmental, social, ethical, economic or regional impacts of Wienerberger's entrepreneurial activities along its value chain and the relevance of these impacts. The resulting and binding Sustainability Roadmap contains goals and measures for the continuous improvement of the group's sustainability performance.
