HOUSTON, Dec. 13, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Willbros Group, Inc. (NYSE:WG) today announced that its Utility Transmission & Distribution segment has been awarded two new awards with an estimated value of $105 million. The first is the formalization of a discrete contract for the construction of an underground transmission duct bank referenced in Willbros' Q3 2016 conference call. Construction by the WTD East business unit has commenced in the fourth quarter of 2016 and is anticipated to be completed during the second quarter of 2017. The second award was also secured by the WTD East business unit to convert overhead lines to underground and will be performed under an MSA agreement over a three year period.
