First annual EE Day urges Americans to 'Save Energy. Save Money.'

In honor of the first annual Energy Efficiency Day on October 5, 2016, Willdan is joining thousands of organizations, companies, and individuals nationwide applauding the vital and wide-ranging contributions energy-saving programs and policies have made and continue to make in the U.S.

According to research, ramping up energy efficiency could help avoid the construction of 487 large power plants over the next 14 years. Already, energy efficiency has prevented the need for 313 large plants. Energy efficiency also delivers a powerful dose of pollution prevention. Although energy efficiency is not the only piece of the puzzle for a sustainable future, currently it remains the most efficient power resource.

Willdan's energy efficiency projects to date have prevented more than 1M metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions, saved more than 1,600 gigawatt hours, reducing demand on the grid by 215,000+ kW. At the same time, we have helped our customers obtain over $200M in incentives and rebates.
