William Hill have shortened the odds of Jack Butland starting in goal against Malta from 5/2 to 7/4 while Joe Hart's odds of starting between the sticks have drifted from Even money to 6/4.

'Joe Hart remains favourite to start in goal against Malta but only just as pretty much all the money that we have seen on this market has been for Jack Butland and it would be no surprise to see him start between the sticks,' said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Who will start in goal vs Malta: 6/4 Joe Hart; 7/4 Jack Butland; 11/4 Jordan Pickford; 10/1 Tom Heaton; 16/1 Fraser Forster

To make the England squad for the Malta/Slovakia matches: 4/7 Wayne Rooney; 6/4 Trent Alexander-Arnold; 5/2 Dominic Calvert-Lewin; 5/2 Scott Sinclair; 4/1 Nathaniel Chalobah
