NEW YORK, April 25, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Willis Group Holdings plc (NYSE:WSH), the global risk advisor, insurance and reinsurance broker, today announced the appointment of Alexis Faber as Practice Leader of FINEX North America, Willis' management liability specialty practice group. Previously, Ms. Faber served as Chief Operating Officer of Willis North America's Specialties and Practice Leader of Willis' Risk Control & Claims Advocacy Group. She will report to Roland Avery, Willis' Global Leader of Financial Institutions, Professional Indemnity, and Directors & Officers.

In this role, Ms. Faber will be responsible for the strategic direction of the practice, leading a team of more than 100 management liability and executive risks professionals throughout North America, helping Willis to be the leading broker and claim advocate in the executive risk space. In addition, she will work closely with Willis' global industry and product leaders across the Willis platform to deliver the full range of insurance solutions to clients.

Willis is an industry leader in the management liability and executive risk space. The FINEX Practice features deep expertise across a range of specialty insurance coverages, including directors' & officers' liability, errors & omissions liability, employment practices liability, cyber liability, crime and fidelity, fiduciary and others. The FINEX Practice also features a dedicated claim and legal group.

Based in Memphis, TN, Ms. Faber joined Willis in 2003 and has more than 14 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry. Prior to joining Willis, she worked in investment banking at Citigroup, focusing on the financial services Industry.
