Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc ("the Company") announces that on 4 March 2013 it purchased through Jefferies International Limited 800,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 260.720 pence per share. 

These shares will be cancelled.

In accordance with the provisions of Listing Rule 12.6.4 the Company announces that on 4 March 2013 it transferred 9,365 ordinary shares from its treasury account. This was for the purpose of an all employee Sharesave scheme.

Following the above, the Company holds 2,737,927 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue is 2,325,854,944 (excluding ordinary shares held as treasury shares). 

The total number of voting rights in the Company, excluding treasury shares,is 2,325,854,944. This figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
