Wolters Kluwer's Finance, Risk & Reporting business is proud to be a sponsor of this week's RiskMinds International conference taking place in Amsterdam. This five day conference will be attended by more than 650 risk professionals from the financial industry. The conference will include presentations from Wolters Kluwer's experts across a range of risk and regulatory topics and the firm will also have senior experts on hand at its prominent stand during the course of the event.

Notably, Richard Bennett, Wolters Kluwer's head of Regulatory Reporting, EMEA, will chair the Market Risk and Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) stream on Wednesday, December 7. The sessions will include presentations from Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan Chase, Credit Suisse, Erste Group, Nordea, Intesa Sanpaolo, ING, Avantium Investment Management, Citibank and The International Swaps and Derivatives Association.

Meanwhile, Will Newcomer, vice president of Product & Strategy, U.S. Risk and Compliance and Joost Roelin, director, Business Development, Regulatory Reporting EMEA, will give a presentation on 'Turning Stress Testing from a Stressful Requirement to Value-add Solution' on Thursday, December 8.

Continuing to build or buy specific solutions for variations on the same theme only increases inefficiency and risk while reducing profitability, Newcomer and Roelin will argue. An example of this is in stress testing, where the tools used to conduct required tests are functionally the same as those used to forecast, plan and analyze many other tasks across the business. However, stress testing processes can be turned into a solution that can be used to conduct M&A analysis, profitability maximization, divestiture analysis and C-level decision making.
