Bezons, 4 of June 2018. Worldline [Euronext: WLN], European leader in the payments and transactional services industry, today announced it has joined the Adobe Cloud Signature Partner Program, enabling users to digitally sign documents within Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Sign using Worldline certificates and to conduct transactions on any device easily and securely , while complying with the strictest legal requirements.

In recent years, demand for a mobile-friendly version of the most secure kind of digital signature solutions has grown. By working together, Worldline and Adobe will enable customers to execute a digital signature on a mobile device or tablet, using highly secure Worldline digital certificates, overcoming one of the limitations of 'traditional' digital signatures which were designed for use with desktop software and typically required the signer to use a USB token or smart card containing a certificate to prove the dentity of the signatory.

The new collaboration follows the introduction of the European eIDAS regulation, which makes it legally possible to sign electronic documents via cloud-based digital certificates. It is based on a new open standard for remote digital signatures developed by the Cloud Signature Consortium, a nonprofit organization committed to advancing open standards for cloud based trust services founded by Adobe in 2016.

This way, Worldline as Certification Authority aims to stimulate safe paperless business processes. Olivier Stuckens, Managing Director Mobility&e-Transactional Services at Worldline says: 'We always strive for the best and most efficient digital solutions for our customers. With this partnership, various business processes can finally go digital in a simple and secure way. Companies will benefit from the fact that consumers will be able to sign paperless everywhere'.

The demonstration of the solution will be showcased during Money 2020 event next week in Amsterdam, on booth A70.
