BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Apr 8, 2014) - U.S. District Court Judge Denise Casper has granted Worlds Inc.'s (OTCBB: WDDD) Motion for a Markman Hearing in its patent infringement suit against Activision Blizzard, Inc., Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. and Activision Publishing, Inc.'s (Activision). The Court will set the Markman Hearing date based on both parties' available dates.

"We are looking forward to having our infringement lawsuit enter the critical Markman Hearing phase after the recent Motion for Summary Judgment ruling that allows us to pursue damages on our intellectual property (IP)," said Worlds CEO Thomas Kidrin.

The Markman Hearing is a critical step in Worlds Inc. vs. Activision in Civil Action No. 1:12-CV-10576(DJC), filed by Worlds Inc. on March 30, 2012 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. The Markman hearing addresses the language and interpretation of the Worlds patents at issue in the case.
