Industry leaders Laura Giannatempo and Zach Perles join as Senior Vice Presidents

NEW YORK - Cohn & Wolfe, a leading global communications agency, announces the appointment of two senior executives who bring strong integrated marketing expertise to the agency's fast-growing consumer practice. Laura Giannatempo and Zach Perles, both named Senior Vice Presidents, Consumer, will play key roles in the North America consumer practice and also sit on the agency's Digital Leadership Team. Based in New York, both will report to Liz Beck, EVP, US Consumer Practice.

These hires continue Cohn & Wolfe's investment in talent to drive integrated marketing and digital work across practices. The agency has seen a significant increase in client demand for campaigns that combine paid, earned, shared and owned media, particularly in the Consumer practice.

Laura Giannatempo will manage multiple account teams in the Consumer practice, with a focus on Food and Beverage clients. With an extensive food background, including experience at culinary publications such as Fine Cooking and a degree in professional culinary arts from the Institute of Culinary Education, Giannatempo has a deep understanding of how to construct campaigns that stand out in the cluttered Food and Beverage industry. She joins the agency from RF│Binder, Inc. where, as Senior Managing Director of Consumer/Food & Beverage, she managed the strategy and execution of integrated marketing programs for clients such as Johnson & Johnson, The Hershey Company and Talenti Gelato & Sorbetto.

Zach Perles will supervise Lifestyle client teams within the Consumer practice. With widespread experience working on global consumer brands, he brings extensive knowledge of paid, earned, shared and owned media to the agency. Perles was previously Vice President, Global Marketing and Communications, for Prince Sports, Inc. and subsequently VP of Marketing at Prince's new parent company, Authentic Brands Group, LLC, where he managed the transition of the Prince brand to a licensing model. At Prince, he supported the company's new business process and oversaw integrated partnerships with outlets such as NBC Sports and Twitter across the company's portfolio of brands

"As the industry moves steadily towards an integrated model, and indeed the majority of our client assignments now span paid, owned, earned and shared media, we've made a conscious decision to invest in the very best industry talent," says Beck. "The skills that Laura and Zach bring to our team will add a new depth of industry knowledge to our campaigns, while fast-tracking our clients to the forefront of the newest, most effective communications tactics."
