12 March, 2015
TRING, HERTDFORDSHIRE - Grass Roots, the world's leading provider of employee and customer engagement solutions, is delighted to announce some significant changes to the roles within its Executive Leadership Team.

The Grass Roots Group Plc achieved the best trading results in the company's thirty-four year history in 2014 and, following this success, various investment commitments have been made in order to achieve ambitious growth plans. Concentrating on doing business better, going global and ensuring products are compelling, are the priorities for 2015 for the market-leading organisation.

To facilitate rapid growth, Grass Roots has created a new role of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), which has been taken on by Andy Lister (previously COO).

Lister has a long history with Grass Roots and a strong track-record for developing and launching new products. He will concentrate on ensuring that Grass Roots' product portfolio is compelling and profitable, and he will identify global growth opportunities. In addition, New Product Development will move into Lister's remit.

As a result of this important change, Zarin Patel (previously CFO) has expanded her responsibilities and will now become Chief Operating Officer (COO), incorporating the Group finance function. Patel has significant operational and financial experience, and joined Grass Roots last year following a move from the BBC, where she was their longest-serving CFO.

Finally, Ian Horsham, Divisional Director for Promotions & Incentives, is to take on management responsibility for the Grass Roots businesses in Singapore, India and Spain - territories in which he is already growing Grass Roots' global portfolio.

Richard Bandell, Grass Roots CEO, is delighted to announce these changes and comments, 'These moves are extremely important for the future of Grass Roots. We have great strengths in our Executive Leadership Team, and on our journey towards 2020 we need to channel our talent effectively to ensure we are focusing on our core strategic priorities at all times, with particular emphasis on creating value for clients through our first-class product portfolio.'
