Marking National Apprenticeship Week in the UK, Atkins' Energy business is proud to sponsor the nuclear supply chain apprentice of the year award at the 2015 Nuclear Skills Awards, taking place today in Manchester.

Christophe Junillon, director of Atkins' nuclear business in the UK, will present the nuclear supply chain apprentice of the year award.

The seventh Nuclear Skills Annual Awards Dinner is held in Manchester, and brings together representatives from high-profile organisations from across the nuclear sector to celebrate success in workforce development.

Atkins also launched its search for a new intake of engineering apprentices this week. Atkins currently employs over 185 apprentices and 1183 graduates across the UK and is also founding member of the 5% club, an industry-led campaign which commits members to having a minimum of 5% of their UK workforce on formal education schemes.
