WSP Global : ranks best Service Engineer in World Architecture 100

WSP has been ranked best service engineer and joint-second for structural engineering by the top 100 global architects.

The rankings come in an annual supplement, World Architecture 100, produced by British-based Building Design magazine.

The WA100 list is the annual survey of the world's largest architecture practices, which also includes architects' verdicts on their favourite professional partners: building contractors, cost consultants, project managers, service engineers and structural engineers.

From the Salesforce Tower in San Francisco to Greenland Centre in Sydney, our engineers design building services with sustainability in mind, and winning in this category is a much-appreciated recognition.

The Fondation Louis Vuitton's new location in Paris, designed by Frank Gehry, perfectly illustrates how WSP can facilitate some of the most ambitious and complicated architecture. The unique architectural form of this distinctive contemporary art gallery called for innovative technical solutions to meet challenges such as ensuring tightly controlled temperature and humidity while concealing all M&E devices so as not to detract from the art and the architecture. Like the majority of WSP projects, Foundation Louis Vuitton was designed for minimal environmental impact.

We are also proud of our world-renowned structural engineers who were ranked second by leading architects. Projects on which they worked include the recently-opened One World Trade Center in New York as well as London's new symbol - The Shard. They continue to redefine New York's skyline with high-rises such as 111 West 57th Street, the world's most slender skyscraper and 432 Park Avenue, one of the tallest residential towers in the world.

The report also features the 10 most admired architecture firms according to their fellow architects. Interestingly, WSP has worked with almost all of the top architects including Foster & Partners (ranking most-admired), Herzog & de Meuron, Gensler, Renzo Piano Workshop, Kohn Pedersen Fox, Rafael Vinoly Architects and SHoP Architects.
