OpSec Security, Inc., the global leader in anti-counterfeiting and brand protection, today announced that it will lead a presentation about counterfeiting and fraud in the imaging supplies industry with Xerox (NYSE: XRX) during the Imaging Supplies Coalition's 2012 Conference, which runs August 19-24 in Las Vegas. The presentation, "Protecting Your Brand - A Comprehensive and Collaborative Approach," will outline how Xerox's printing supplies business has successfully addressed counterfeiting and fraud issues during its 10-year collaboration with OpSec Security.

"Counterfeiting continues to take a huge toll on businesses across the world, but the imaging supplies industry faces unique challenges including a fiercely competitive playing field and the existence of grey and black markets," said Valerie Finn, director of Brand Protection for OpSec Security, Inc. "I am honored to work with Xerox and co-present with Al Gallina to showcase the company's market leadership and progress in the fight against counterfeiting," she said. "These accomplishments go a long way towards protecting customers from unknowingly purchasing low quality fakes."

OpSec delivers a comprehensive anti-counterfeiting program that includes product authentication and an investigative approach to online brand protection. Working with OpSec, Xerox has successfully shut down more than 9,000 postings over the past 12 months to prevent the sale of illicit goods with an estimated value of more than $175 million. Xerox also has worked to eliminate more than 2 million illicit units from online listings throughout the life of the program. These results and corresponding case studies will be covered in the upcoming presentation. Presenters will also highlight how Xerox and OpSec have strategically responded to the evolving demands of the marketplace.
