"Receiving the 2012 Product of the Year award from Electronic Products for our Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoC validates the hard work and dedication our Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoC team has put into making this product a success," said Lawrence Getman, vice president of processing platforms marketing at Xilinx. "The award not only validates the innovative aspect of the Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoC, but also the strong business success we've achieved over the past year. We have received incredibly strong customer demand for Zynq-7000 devices across an ever broadening range of applications."

The winning products for 2012 were selected by the editors of Electronic Products on the basis of innovative design, significant advancement in technology or application and substantial achievement in price and performance. Recognizing the best products in the industry, 2012 marks the 37th annual Electronic Products' "Product of the Year" Awards.

"We selected the Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoC for this year's Product of the Year award, recognizing Xilinx as the pioneer FPGA company offering the industry's first all programmable SoC to incorporate an ARM® dual-core Cortex(TM)-A9 MPCore(TM) processing system with tightly coupled programmable logic and I/O on a single die," said Jim Harrison, editor of Electronic Products. "We distinguish that Xilinx's unique technology combination dramatically increases performance and therefore improves processing-intensive applications across multiple markets, ranging from consumer and broadcast equipment to wired communications, amongst many others."

The 2012 Product of the Year Awards were announced in the January 2013 issue of Electronic Products. Additionally, Xilinx's award-winning Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoC appears on Electronic Products' website: "Xilinx: FPGA and ARM Cortex-A9 processors make great combination."
