Regulatory News:

XIRING, a security solutions provider for remote transactions, has been selected by Transilien SNCF, the railway service for inhabitants of the Paris Ile-de-France region, to supply ?Teo by XIRING? smartcard readers for remote top up of travel cards. Customers with a weekly or monthly Navigo travel pass will be able to top up their cards at home using their PC. Thanks to this new system, commuters will no longer have to wait in long queues at ticket desks or automatic ticket machines at the beginning of each month to top up their pass.

The 1,000 commuters involved in the pilot will use a ?Teo by XIRING? smartcard reader, supplied free-of-charge by SNCF, to top up their Navigo travel pass every week or every month in the comfort of their own home. All they have to do is log onto the transilien.com web site, select the top up they want, in terms of time period and travel zones, and pay online through a secure payment process.

The new service, which is both innovative and convenient, saves time and effort for commuters. Regular bus and train commuters will particularly benefit as they will be able to recharge their Navigo pass at home before setting out on their journey.

Georges Liberman, CEO of XIRING, comments: ?We are delighted to have been selected by the SNCF to take part in this pilot involving the sale of weekly and monthly Navigo passes via customers' PCs at home. This system will make commuters' day-to-day lives easier and confirms XIRING's ability to respond to the needs of major consumer projects in partnership with leading companies and institutions.?
