Regulatory News:

Following its win of the Ambition Award for the Ile de France (Paris) region, XIRING (Paris:ALXIR), a European security solutions provider for remote transactions, has also won the corresponding national 2009 Ambition Award, beating competition from all regional winners. XIRING was presented with the award during a ceremony organised by Banque Palatine and La Tribune, the national daily newspaper, on Wednesday, 24th June 2009.

For the third consecutive year, Banque Palatine in partnership with La Tribune Group, HEC Group and, this year, under the patronage of Eric Woerth, French Minister of Budget, Public Accounts, Public Service and State Reform, awarded the Ambition Award. The awards aim to highlight the most dynamic companies in terms of business growth, international development and sustainable development.

XIRING's national win at a ceremony organised at the Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris follows its award of the Ambition Award 2009 in the growth category for the Ile de France region on 2nd June. With its turnover doubling every two years since 2004 to reach €28.5 million in 2008, XIRING has seen its growth supported by the development of its two strategic activities: Banking through the securing of Internet banking operations and Health with professional terminals for health cards.

In Banking, the Vericode security solution based on MasterCard and Visa bank card standards is progressively replacing the use of static password in many European countries and XIRING is leading the market having issued more than 10 million solutions (out of a total of an estimated 21 million in Europe). In France, XIRING has signed its first significant contract with the Banque Populaire Group which has started the roll out of Vericode to 400,000 customers. Vericode is a personal bank card reader which enables the chip in the bank card to secure online banking transactions and payments made via the Internet.

The potential of strong authentication solutions is supported by the continued growth of e-commerce, online banking and their associated security requirements.

In its healthcare business, XIRING is the leading provider of SESAM-Vitale professional solutions in France and well positioned on the international stage in terms of developing health chip card programmes in Europe. Recently, XIRING has announced the commercial release in Germany of its Xi-Plus 5, a mobile health card terminal for healthcare professionals.

Georges LIBERMAN, XIRING's Chairman and CEO, states, « I am very honoured to receive this national Ambition Award 2009 on behalf of XIRING. It's further recognition of our success for our staff, our customers, our partners and investors. This award comes at a time when the European market for securing remote transactions is experiencing strong growth: we estimate that 60 million European users will be equipped with a strong authentication solution based on the bank card by 2010-2011, of which 10 million will be French. It's our goal for the coming years.

Finally, I give my thanks to our shareholder, Alto Invest, and to its president, Antoine VALDES, who encouraged us to compete in the 2009 Ambition Awards contest. »
