Regulatory News:

XIRING (Paris:ALXIR), a security solutions provider for electronic transactions, announces the launch of a complete line of solutions for the simple and secure use of smartcards in hospitals. It will be showcased at the fifth edition of the Paris HIT (Health Information Technologies) trade fair that will take place in Paris on May 17, 18 and 19, 2011.

Management of patients' medical information is an issue that is vital in healthcare centers information systems. At each stage of a patient's care in the establishment, hospital personnel must be able to access to his/her medical data securely and quickly.

In order to address this, new systems have been set up in hospitals, such as Single Sign-On (SSO), the Consultation of rights (CDR) via the Internet or Electronic Medical Files, relying on the use of e-health smartcards (CPS V3, V2, 2ter, IAS hospital's cards, Vitale 1, Vitale 2, etc.).

In order to simplify the use of these cards in medical centers, XIRING offers a complete line of solutions meeting many operational needs such as:

  • Creation of patient medical records by consulting a patient's e-health card;
  • Reliability of information thanks to the ability to update the e-health card;
  • Secure access to patients' e-medical records via their Professional card and e-health card;
  • Management of workstation access (in accordance with the French confidentiality decree of 15 May 2007) with or without contact with the new dual interface CPS3 or IAS cards.

In order to meet these various needs, at each step of the patient's care in the hospital ranging from equipping the administrative workstations at the entrances/exits to workstations in the care units, as well as for mobile practitioners, XIRING offers the following solutions and current innovations:

  • PRIUM-3S: three-slot over-the-counter solution for secure reading of e-health cards (Vitale 1, Vitale 2, CPS2, CPS3, complimentary insurances cards);
  • Diteo: contact and contactless USB smartcard reader allowing fast and secure access to workstations and establishments' IT systems (CPS3, IAS card);
  • Xi-Santé: individual USB reader for contact smartcards;
  • le Point XIRING V2: self-service remote e-health card update services (Vitale 1, Vitale 2);
  • Witeo: the hands-free smart card reader shaped as a portable cardholder, allowing secure access to workstations for professional cards and particularly adapted to daily use of hospital practitioners.

XIRING will also unveil its new hybrid solution for reading and updating the e-health Vitale card at the counter.

XIRING welcomes visitors to its stand (Z41) located in Pavilion 1

Porte de Versailles 75015 Paris

May 17-19, from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
