Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ: YHOO) today announced the nomination of Dr. Jane E. Shaw to the company's board of directors. Shareholders will vote on the nominees, including Dr. Shaw as well as David Filo, Charles R. Schwab and H. Lee Scott, Jr, at the company's annual meeting of shareholders on June 25, 2014.

Jane E. Shaw, Ph.D. served as a member of the board of directors of Intel Corporation, from 1993 to 2012, and served as its non-executive Chairman of the board from 2009 to 2012. From 1998 to 2005, Dr. Shaw served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aerogen, Inc., a company specializing in the development of products for improving respiratory therapy. Dr. Shaw joined the ALZA Corporation, a specialty pharmaceutical company that focused on novel ways of delivering medications to the body, as a research scientist in 1970; she remained with the company for 24 years, serving as President and Chief Operating Officer from 1987 to 1994. She is also a member of the boards of directors of McKesson Corporation and several private and non-profit entities.
