Pune, June 23, 2014:Mr. Rana Kapoor, MD & CEO, YES Bank, was felicitated with 'Excellence in Leadership' award for his outstanding contributions to the state of Maharashtra over the past 2 decades, by Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries & Agriculture (MCCIA) at the event held today to celebrate MCCIA's 80th Anniversary at JW Marriot, Pune.

Shri Sharad Pawar, Hon. Former Minister of Agriculture, GOI & President Nationalist Congress Party was the Chief Guest along with Chanchala Kodre, Hon. Mayor of Pune as theGuest of Honour.

I am indeed humbled to receive this award. Maharashtra has been my "Karma-bhumi" having started my career here, as a Management trainee more than 34 years ago. During the event Mr. Rana Kapoor also announced the formation of a Maharashtra Development Council within ASSOCHAM to look into the policy issues of supporting the development of the state, and partner with MCCIA towards the same.
