Senior Spanish government officials will hold a press conference to comment on Argentina's plans to take control of oil company YPF SA (YPF, YPFD.BA), the Spanish government said Monday.

Spain's Industry Minister Jose Manuel Soria and Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo will hold a press conference scheduled for 1940 GMT Monday.

Rajoy met with the two ministers earlier Monday to analyze the decision of Argentine President Cristina Kirchner, who will ask the Argentine Congress to expropriate YPF.

YPF is majority owned by Spanish flagship oil producer Repsol YPF SA (REPYY, REP.MC).
