Zaporizhtransformator VAT : ZTR will produce 6 transformers for Georgia

The private joint-stock company «Zaporozhtransformator» (ZTR) has concluded three contracts for the supply of six transformers for Georgia. According to the terms of the contracts, ZTR will supply two 40 MVA/110kV transformers for the Vartsikhe HPP hydroelectric complex, two 40 MVA / 110kV transformers for the Kakhari substation and two 6.3 MVA transformers for the residential housing estate under construction in Tbilisi.
The contracts are concluded with our regular partners, for which ZTR has repeatedly supplied transformer equipment.
The Kahari project.
The contract was signed with the Georgian company JSC 'Sakenergoremonti' (Tbilisi), which acts in the project as one of the general contractors. Since 2009, ZTR has repeatedly worked with this company. At the moment, an advance payment has already been received and the transformers are put into production. ZTR will produce and deliver the transformers to Georgia in May 2018.

Project 'Vartsikhe HPP'.
The contract was signed with the Georgian company 'Georgian Manganese' (Zestafoni). Cooperation between ZTR and Georgian Manganese began in 2014 during the delivery of a transformer for the Zestafon Ferroalloy Plant. For this project, the contract date, which ZTR is obliged to meet, is very tight. Therefore an advance payment has already been received and the transformers are put into production. The delivery of equipment to Georgia is scheduled for March this year.

During of pre-contract work on these projects, ZTR had to compete with Chinese and Turkish competitors. When choosing a supplier, in addition to challenging timetable, there were also requirements regarding the experience of the manufacturer and the availability of accessible after-sale service maintenance of transformer equipment throughout the operating time.

Once again the new contracts confirm the level of trust to «Zaporizhtransformator» as a producer of quality equipment, and also strengthen positions in the Georgian market.
